Galvalume steel sheet (GL) is carbon steel sheet coated with aluminum-zinc alloy by a continuous hot dip process similar to the galvanizing process. The nominal coating composition is 55% aluminum and 45% zinc.
Galvalume steel sheet (GL) has high alumunium content, 55% of mass and 80% of capacity and shows better thermal resistance than ordinary hot dip galvanized steel sheets. Even when exposed to high temperatures it show neither significant increase of mass due oxidization nor any surface discoloration due to progressive alloying.
AnGalvalume steel sheet (GL) is a galvanizing breakthrough that significantly lengthens the service life of galvanized steel. The combined metallic composition of Aluminum and Zinc gives metallic Superlume superior protection against corrosion and heat resistance. Exhibit more aesthetic appeal than ordinary G.I. sheet because the natural coloration of Aluminum and thus it makes more popular option in roofing. It is also the preferred substrate for pre-painted coils.
